Mum and I decided to see the Masterpieces from Paris exhibition at the National Gallery, and turned up thinking there would be a short queue. The queue stretched to the Portrait Gallery
and was for ticket holders only, so while I held our space Mum got the tickets. We "only" had to wait an hour to get in. On other days, we heard, people queued for up to 5 hours! The coffee machine was doing a good trade.
At least it wasn't cold or wet or windy!
The exhibition was well worth it - and it's been extended until April 18.
