My son made langos last night.  It's a fried bread from Hungary.  To spell it properly you need to put an acute sign over the "a" but I don't know how to do that...  It's pronounced something like "larn-gorsh" . Straight out of the oil you top it with garlic, sour cream and grated cheese.  We all ate way too much it is so yummy!

  1. You can get Langos here in Vienna. My kids love them, me not so much but i think that's because they sell them as a 'walking' snack i.e just plain or fried in garlic oil but not with the toppings which admittedly look divine! BTW do you know what the Hungarian is for 'funnel cakes' - we LOVE those - they are a tall tower thing made by wrapping the dough around a hot rod and then they roll them in different flavourings - cinnamon sugar is our favourite!
