Sex, Murder and a Double Latte

This was one of my special finds at the Rotary Book Fest last weekend.
A great story - fun characters, funny dialogue and a plot that kept me guessing. (Well, I knew who it couldn't be, and I had an inkling as to who the killer was, but couldn't work out a motive or reason). So the ending was nice and satisfying...

The main character is Sophie Katz is a well known murder mystery author who has just finished her latest book. She thinks she finally has the chance to wind down and relax when strange things start happening. She can't find her cell phone, her neatly arranged books are disturbed, a glass is broken - occurrences that are eerily just like scenes from one of her own books. Of course, no one believes her, so it is up to her and her friends to figure it out.
The hunky guy with a Russian accent and her best friend's weird boyfriend are both acting strangely, so what is going on?

The art imitates life theme is very well done, with the extra layer of the real writer Kyra writing about another mystery author...

This is Kyra's first book, and I will definitely be looking for more by her.
