Yesterday I went to Bribie to see some art quilts. The Community Arts Centre there is HUGE!! Aside from two dedicated gallery spaces, there was a sales area/entry room, a long corridor and outside courtyard for exhibition also. There are rooms for local art groups to meet, such as woodworkers and leadlighters, and quilters of course. As well, there's a lovely large courtyard for events and markets.
There were some standout pieces of textile art, as well as more everyday quilts and creations.
We got our feet wet in the ocean - which was muddy- but the beach was virtually empty
except for these...
Lunch was fish and chips looking out over the passage, close to this wonderful tree.
