Last Tuesday evening I went to a lecture by visiting US quilter
Hollis Chatelain. It was marvellous. She gave us her biography and talked about how she came to quilting. She makes the most beautiful quilts, with many references to her time in Africa. She came across as an open, warm and beautiful person. Afterwards I had a late dinner at McDonalds - don't these cardboard chandeliers just ooze "fancy"? LOL
