Flowers

Bronte left some lovely flowers...
A few blooms fell off the main stem, so they were perfect for the tiny pebble vases...
Yep, I know the colouring and light is quite different - the top photo was taken on auto mode and the bottom with me mucking around in manual.  Still a long way to go and lots of mistakes along the way, but all good fun....

Flowers from Bronte

She is a lovely generous girl - these have been opening every day - and more to come.  I think of her every time I pass them in the kitchen...

Spring

As the axis of the Earth increases its tilt toward the sun, the smell of new-ness and the sense of possibility grows...

Flower

There are lots of bushes around my area with glossy green leaves that are used as hedges by the sides of footpaths.  The flowers are just unfurling; they are a creamy white with the most heady sweet scent!

Blossom

This is exciting! The first flower on any of the murrayas which I planted more than a year ago. The plant is also called mock orange, and the scent of the flowers is just amazing...sweet and heady...so I am looking forward to many more blossoms!!

Sunday Gardening

Another market day, but with a couple of downers - someone pushed into line and I locked my keys in the car :(. But then things looked up. Beautiful weather, time to read, and some garden discoveries. We have a jungle in one part of our garden, so when I started tidying up - look what I found! Just glorious!

Colour in the garden

I love these blossoms
I love the gumnuts
and I love the fact that these birds love them
Oh yes, the koala loves this tree too (haven't seen her in a while).

I have a thing against red and orange plants/flowers in my garden (OK in other gardens, just not mine). This isn't red, is it?
