The State Library has a series called Deepen the Conversation where all sorts of topics are covered. Last Saturday it was about fashion. Charlotte Dawson inherited an insane number of clothing items from her godmother Doris. Think 70 large boxes each containing at least 30 items, PLUS accessories. Many of the items were give to Doris, who then passed them to Charlotte (thanks to Qantas which brought them from the US to Australia without having them fumigated - at a cost of $10,000!). Since then Charlotte has unpacked the pieces, talks about them, displays them, and has written 2 books about them. Each piece has a story and reference to history.
