Sue Dennis headed up the art quilting group in QQ for 3 years. She's a busy world renowned art quilter and teacher, so her commitment was not taken on lightly. She was always a pleasure to work with. Those of us who were part of the committee made a little "thank you" piece of art with a touch of orange, that she could display as she wished. The size of the canvas was 4" X 4".
Some idea drawings -
The base fabric - created in a session with a friend
Words had to be incorporated
and metal of course
I had to make sure the design remained in the small space
A touch of orange
The finished piece
Labelled and everything!
Artist's Statement - or - A Bit More About the Piece
Life is the source of energy and creativity that radiates through space and time.
Elements represent time spent with friends, free play, and words - all important to me.

Queensland Quilters
The first QQ meeting was on 8 February, in a new location in Tarragindi. Super easy to find, good parking, loads of space. And loads of people, as you can see -
It was wonderful catching up with lots of friends, and finding out about all the latest happenings.

All For One!
Following the Star Sea quilting group a couple of weeks ago, three of us had lunch at The Shingle Inn in Cleveland. We were all taken with this yummy drink - here's to our health!
PRP?
Dare I call it a Property Redistribution Program? Book giveaway doesn't sound half as interesting does it? Although I hope the people who are getting some of my books will think they are interesting!
Here is a pile I gave to a new friend who enjoys reading -
No doubt there will be further distributions among HER friends, and the pleasure of books will be spread to a widening circle...

The cute little yellow "Taschli" was the one that arrived in my mailbox. Edith used a quilting calendar (I think) as an envelope.
